PURPOSE: To measure the temperature of a conductive dissolved substance and the thickness of a heat-resistance lining continuously by reading temperature on two fixed sections along a system consisting of a conductive body with an effective diameter that is smaller than a diameter being wetted by a conductive dissolved substance incorporated in the heat-resistance lining. CONSTITUTION: A temperature indicator 1 is connected to a main processing block 6 via an A/D converter 4 and a thickness indicator 2 of a heat-resistance lining is connected to a logic signal processing block 5. The continuous measurement of temperature at different points, the discrete measurement of the thickness of the heat-resistance lining by the thickness indicator 2 of the heat- resistance lining, and temperature measurement recorded on two fixed sections along the system of a plurality of heat-conduction bodies that have smaller effective diameters than those being wetted by a conductive dissolved substance and are incorporated into the heat-resistance lining are used, thus measuring the temperature of the conductive dissolved substance and the thickness of the heat-resistance lining continuously.
