<p>PURPOSE:To improve operability by detecting device constituting information by the connecting condition of an expanding part and the connecting condition of the expanding part at a leading time and executing an initializing based on the above-mentioned information. CONSTITUTION:A personal computer is composed of a main body part 10 and an expanding part 20 to be connected to this part 10 freely attachably and detachably. This main body part 10 is provided with an expansion detecting mechanism 19 in addition to a CPU 11 and a memory 12, etc. The expanding part 20 is provided with an expansion informing part 24 together with a CRT controller 21, a CRT 22 and a standard keyboard 23. The CRT controller 21 and the expansion informing mechanism 24 are formed on a printed wiring board and connected to the main body part freely attachably and detachably. Then, the expansion detecting mechanism 19 detects the connection of the expanding part 20. In the memory 12, the device constituting information are stored in a different area to correspond to the presence and absence of the connection in addition to processing data. Thus, after the initialization of the CPU main body, the expanding part 20 is connected and the information at an expanding time are read from the memory 12.</p> |
