A water closet flushing mechanism comprising a water supply valve (15), a float device and an overflow passage which components are structurally combined to an assembly mountable inside the cistern (1) of the water closet, the outlet level of the flushing water supply valve (15) and the inlet level of the overflow passage both being vertically adjustable relatively the flushing valve of the cistern, the last mentioned level in the way that a vertical tube (5) which communicates with the downstream side of the flushing valve (6-8) supports a telescopically displaceable tube (12), at the top end of which the inlet opening (19) of the overflow passage (12) is located, characterized in that the water supply valve (15) is supported by the displaceable tube (12) whereby, upon displacement thereof, the vertical distance (G) between the cistern filling level (C), as determined by said float device, and the overflow level (B), as well as the vertical distance (F) between the overflow level (B) and the outlet (A) of the water supply valve (15) are positively maintained constant. <IMAGE> |
