PURPOSE:To uniformly polish the polished surface of a polished body by installing a supporting means in soft structure which supports a plurality of free pulleys arranged at the position where a polishing belt is pressed onto the polished body, in shiftable ways according to the shape of the polished surface of the polished body. CONSTITUTION:A polishing belt 5 is pressed onto the polished surface of a polished body 14 such as metal mold. In this case, a plurality of free pulleys 16 arranged at the pressing part of the polishing belt 5 are supported onto the supporting frame 17 in soft structure which is fixed onto an air pack 15. Therefore, according to the shape of the polished surface of the polished body 14, these free pulleys 16 are shift-adjusted by the internal pressure and the inclination of the air pack 15, and the polishing belt 5 is always brought into surface contact with the polished surface of the polished body 14, and the whole polished surface is uniformly polishing-worked by the polishing belt 5 without accompanying undulation. |
