PURPOSE: To control player's performance operation noise so as not to be offensive to ears by reducing the volume of speaker means to small volume when a headphone is turned to a using state. CONSTITUTION: The electronic musical instrument is provided with a musical sound signal generating means 4, speaker means 6L, 6R for generating a musical sound based upon a musical sound signal S2, a headphone 2, and a volume control means 10 for reducing the volume of the musical sound generated from the speaker means 6L, 6R to small volume. When the headphone 2 is turned to a using state, the means 10 generates a musical sound with a small volume reduced from the speaker means 6L, 6R. Since a low volume musical sound is generated so as to be superposed to performance operation noise generated when a player performs a sound specification means 3, a trouble that the performance operation noise is offensive to ears is effectively reduced. |
