PURPOSE: To obtain a medicine for skin, useful for treating burn, wound, injury also useful for cosmetic, by baking the bark part of Mimosa and powering. CONSTITUTION: Bark obtained from Mimosa and a layer adjacent to the bark, to be peeled together with the bark are cleaned with 0.8-1.2wt.% aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide or another oxidizing agent containing 0.1wt.% aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide and a disinfectant. An irritating substance and pyrogens are removed and the resultant substance is dried at room temperature. Then the substance is baked at 60-250 deg.C, preferably 80-140 deg.C in the atmosphere, ground into powder having <=1mm diameter, preferably powder comprising at least 90wt.% powder passing through a screen of 100 meshes (U.S. sieve). The powder exhibits strong sedative and analgesic effect, prevents suppuration of wound, assists the growth of skin, shows treating effects and extremely reduces cicatorice by wound. |
