A rectifier for an absorption refrigerator comprises pump tube (1) surrounded by a jacket (5), the jacket (5) being connected by a conduit (3) to a condenser (4), wherein the top of the jacket (5) is closed at a level above that of the top of the pump tube (1), the conduit (3) extends in a direction that is not perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of either the condenser (4) or the pump tube (1), and the top of the pump tube (1) is located above the junction (2) between the jacket (5) and conduit (3). It is advisable to have at least 5 mm between the upper end of the pump tube (1) and the closed top of the jacket (5), and at least 10 mm between the junction (2) and the top of the pump tube (1). <IMAGE> |
