PURPOSE:To achieve high speed with high torque, by employing a DC power source corresponding to output torque and the number of revolutions of the title motor in order to raise exciting current sharply and circulating stored magnetic energy to the positive pole side of the power source thereby eliminating discharge current quickly. CONSTITUTION:Upon power supply to exciting coils 5c, 5d and 4c, 4d, magnetic poles 5a (N pole) and 5b (S pole) attract salient poles 1a, 1d respectively and drive a rotor 1 in the direction of an arrow A-1. Magnetic poles 4a (N pole) and 4b (S pole) attract salient poles 1c, 1f respectively to drive the rotor 1 in the direction of an arrow A-1. Upon rotation of the rotor 1 by 90 deg., power supply to exciting coils 5c and 5d is stopped and power supply to exciting coils 6c, 6d is started. The mode of power supply to respective exciting coils is altered every time when the rotor 1 rotates by 90 deg., and the rotates as a two-phase reluctance motor. |
