Polymers based on pentafluorophenyl halo- and methacrylates and their application to the production of optical fibres, of positive photoresists, of organic glasses and of resins for optical discs

These homo- and copolymers are obtained from monomers which have the general formula: in which X: Cl, F, CH3 or CF3. The copolymers are obtained by copolymerisation of these monomers with monomers chosen from the pentafluorosystem, methyl 1'-fluoroacrylate and ethyl alpha -fluoroacrylate or with monomers with a low number of CH/cm<3>. They find applications in the production of optical fibres, of positive photoresists, of organic glasses and of resins for optical discs.
