PURPOSE:To improve the mechanical strength, flexibility and adhesion to a substrate of a photosensitive layer of an electrophotographic sensitive body by incorporating a thermosetting resin or a photosetting resin and a plasticizer into the photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer contg. a thermosetting resin or a photosetting resin, and a plasticizer, is formed on an electroconductive substrate. The photosensitive layer may be constituted either in the form of a single layer type photosensitive layer or a laminated photosensitive layer having either one of a charge generating layer or a charge transfer layer as a lower layer. When the photosensitive layer is constituted of laminated layers, the above described component is preferred to be incorporated into at least a lower layer adjacent to the substrate. Diphenyl phthalate is used pref. as plasticizer. By this constitution, a photosensitive layer having high mechanical strength due to its crosslinked structure, and high flexibility and adhesion due to incorporated plasticizer, is obtd. |
