The invention relates to a cartridge box of the type comprising individual compartments 5 for storing the cartridges 6 or their case 7 in them. According to the invention, the box in question comprises elastic means 8 which are arranged towards the bottom 15 of the compartments 5 and against which the said cartridges 6 come to bear, in such a way that the latter are pushed elastically towards the outside of the compartments in which they are accommodated. Preferably, however, these elastic means 8 will be shaped so as to have a dimension smaller than the inside diameter of the substantially circular-cylindrical case of the said cartridges, so as to be capable of penetrating into it and thus have no effect in respect of the same cases 7. The invention applies to cartridge boxes especially for hand weapons. <IMAGE>
