PURPOSE:To make unnecessary an operation for the reception confirmation with a transmitting person and to facilitate the operation by reading a transmitting person telephone number written at the position of the designation of an incoming electronic mail, receiving the mail to an electronic mail transmitting person and communicating automatically on the telephone that the receiving person himself receives it, when the electronic mail having a receiving person receiving confirming designation is received. CONSTITUTION:An electronic mail transmitting receiving terminal is composed of a transmitting receiving part MPC and a receiving confirming communicating part DPC and connected to an exchange XC of a telephone network facility. The instructing signal of an operator from an operator input part OPC of the terminal is inputted to an operator identifying part OPI, it is checked whether a user is a registerer or not and the reading request of the electronic mail is outputted to a reading part MGT for a host computer system HST, when the user is the registerer. By the request, the requesting and receiving of a mail are executed between a processing device MPD of HST and an accumulating part MSV by the request from a transmitting receiving control part MSR. The request is sent to MGT, and it is informed automatically by the telephone communication of a communicating part DAL that the transmitting person receives.
