PURPOSE:To obtain a hair tonic, containing a substance selected from 2-hexyl-1- decanol, isooctadecanol and cis-9-octadecen-1-ol and minoxidil and capable of exhibiting remarkable growth promoting action on the hair. CONSTITUTION:A hair tonic containing 1-20wt.% one or two or more selected from 2-hexyl-1-decanol, isooctadecanol and cis-9-octadecen-1-ol and 0.2-2.0wt.% minoxidil [6-(1-piperidinyl)-2,4-pyrimidinediamine-3-oxide]. An anti-inflammatory agent, peripheral vasodilator, antihistaminic agent, local anesthetic agent, solvent, etc., in an amount within a range so as not to impair effects can be blended in this hair tonic. The hair producing action of the minoxidil can be remarkably enhanced by using both the ingredients and amounts thereof blended can be reduced without deteriorating hair tonic effects thereof. |
