The temperature regulator, which is preferably designed as a power regulator for electric ovens, has a switch (snap switch) which can be set to the desired nominal heating point temperature by means of the cam disc of an operating device and can be operated by means of an expansion system, as well as a compensating bimetallic element which is supported on a transmission lever and can be displaced relative thereto. According to the invention, the cam disc which is used for the nominal value temperature setting is connected to a further cam disc which is arranged in the compensation displacement path of the bimetallic element and is used as a limiting stop for the latter. <IMAGE>
