PURPOSE:To suppress the occurrence of deactivation of biocatalyst in manufacturing and in storage and to eliminate loss in biocatalyst, by applying or dropping liquid including the biocatalyst on a substrate, and bringing the substrate into contact with the vapor of a cross-linking agent. CONSTITUTION:Oxygen mixed aqueous solution 1 is applied on the gate part of an ISFET 2. The FET, which is treated in this way, is placed on an air- permeable supporting stage 5 which is provided in a closed container 4. In the container 4, 50% glutaraldehyde solution 3 is contained. The vapor of the glutaraldehyde is absorbed. Thereafter, the FET 2 is taken out of the container 4. In this way, the excessive amount of non-reacted cross-linking agent does not remain in the inside, the high activity of the biocatalyst is maintained and efficient immobilization is achieved. A rigid cross-linking film is formed on the surface of an immobilization film so as to contribute to stabilization. |
