<p>PURPOSE:To improve the strength property of a product and to reduce the cost by integrally casting an axle case by the molten metal of a spherical graphite cast iron, then, removing in order the mold corresponding to each part thereof and exposing each part to the external part as well. CONSTITUTION:An axle case 1 is integrally cast by a spherical graphite cast iron molten metal, etc., together with a brake flange 4, end tube 5 and various stoppers 6-9. After the lapse of specified time the mold corresponding to the parts of the flange 4 and tube 5 is removed, the part thereof is exposed to the external part and the toughness is improved. The wear resistance and strength of the stoppers 6, 7 for spring and the blackets 8, 9 for torque rod and the stiffness of a case main body 3 are similarly improved in order. Consequently the strength property of each part of the axle case 1 is simultaneously improved and the cost is reduced with the reduction in the number of stages.</p> |
