摘要 PURPOSE:To perform highly precise drilling within a short period, by pressing a needle-like electrode in position into a synthetic resin item to be worked thereby a dent is formed in the surface of said resin item, and repeatedly discharging by energizing a pulsated voltage to drill said resin item. CONSTITUTION:The position of a synthetic resin plate 3 where a hole is to be formed is placed below the needle-like electrode 1. After the positioning, a pressure cylinder 4 is driven to press the electrode 1 to said position of the synthetic resin plate 3 so that a dent is formed there. A high-voltage charging power source 8 is connected to a capacitor 7, and when a prescribed charging has been done, discharging is performed between the electrodes 1, 2. Since the pulse discharging is done with the tip of the upper needle 1 forced into the synthetic resin plate 3, the discharging passage is determined, and the discharging current easily flows to allow a large amount of electric current to flow. Thus due to the repeated pulse discharging, the drilling is done readily within a short period.
