<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a sheet discharge device of simplified constitution omitting a discharge path in the downstream of a flapper by arranging a selecting means in the downstream side of a discharge rotary unit. CONSTITUTION:A sheet S is conveyed to a flapper 15 by paired discharge rollers 13, and in case of a face down mode, the sheet S is guided to a discharge paper tray 16 by the flapper 15 and discharged onto the tray 16. While in case of a face up mode, the sheet S, conveyed to the flapper 15 by the paired discharge rollers 13, is guided to a paper discharge roller 17 by the flapper 15, and the sheet S, while it is pressed to a rib 20a by the roller 17, is discharged to a discharge paper tray 19. Here by pressing the sheet S to the rib 20a by the paper discharge roller 17, the sheet S is conveyed to the discharge paper tray 19. And the sheet S, being given the rigidity, is prevented from buckling due to decreasing the rigidity even when the sheet S is loaded on the discharge paper tray 19 of steep slope.</p> |
