PURPOSE:To obtain an Al alloy for vane material particularly excellent in wear resistance, softening resistance, high-temp. strength, and low thermal expansion properties by incorporating respectively prescribed amounts of Fe and/or Mn besides Si, Cu, Mg, and Ni and also specifying the average grain sizes of Si grains and intermetallic-compound grains, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The above Al alloy has a composition consisting of, by weight, 15-35% Si, 0.5-5% Cu, 0.3-3% Mg, 0.3-9% Ni, 0.16-0.3% Fe and/or 0.11-0.3% Mn, and the balance Al. At this time, the average grain sizes of Si grains and intermetallic-compound grains are regulated to <=10mum, respectively. By using this Al alloy as vane material, the lightening weight and speeding-yp of the vane can be attained. |
