The combination of a special shape of housing and a special sealing strip assembly with a specially constructed control part makes it possible to construct an internal combustion engine in which each component performs several functions. Despite this, its components are of striking simplicity and reduce manufacturing costs to a level far below those of conventional internal combustion engines. At the same time, levels of quality and efficiency are at least equal. If a compressor of the same type of construction is connected ahead of it, the internal combustion engine obtained is of the highest quality and the constructional outlay involved nevertheless remains low.
