<p>Process for automatic control of a continuous crystallisation apparatus (20) for the production of sugar according to patent EP-0,162,739. To permit a self-adaptation of the mathematical model employed for this control to the actual operating conditions of the apparatus, the values of one or more parameters (heat transfer coefficient and/or heat transfer area of the heating bundle) employed in the calculations of the heat balance of the various compartments (1, 2, ... n) are determined at each step of calculation as a function of the value calculated (by 32) in the preceding step of calculation, and of the measured (at 56) value of the flow rate of water condensed in the heating bundle (12). <IMAGE></p> |
