PURPOSE:To determine the moving quantity of a focusing lens of a photographing system with good accuracy by detecting the out-of-focus quantity of the photographing system by a focus detector provided in an optical device on a camera body side, then making prescribed computations by the utilization of the out-of-focus quantity of the photographing system and the intrinsic various numerical values provided to the memory part of the photographing system. CONSTITUTION:The prescribed coeffts. used in the focus detector 2 in a camera body 10 to be mounted with the photographing system 1 are previously stored in the memory part 3 of the photographing system 1 and are transmitted, at need, into the camera body 10. The prescribed computations are made from the out-of-focus quantity and the prescribed coeffts. by the focus detector 2, by which the moving quantity of the focusing lens is determined with good accuracy. The photographing system which is capable of moving the focusing lens to the prescribed position with the smaller number of times than in the conventional method and allows automatic focusing with high accuracy is thereby obtd. |
