PURPOSE:To endure the high pressure on a bearing face by a simple process by fitting and holding a cylindrical raw material inside a jig provided with a holding hole the central portion in an axial direction of which has a diameter smaller than that of the end portion thereof, forming a bearing face by a curved surface subjected to innerface-broaching and depression of the central portion in the axial direction more than the end portion. CONSTITUTION:The length of a bearing metal raw material 1a is rendered one unit, a holding hole 6, is provided in a jig 5, while a part 7 corresponding to a central portion in an axial direction of the hole 6 has a diameter smaller than that of a part 8 corresponding to its end portion. The bearing metal raw material 1a is held in the holding hole 6 and its inside face is cut-processed by a broach 9. Accordingly, in a bearing metal 1, the outer circumference becomes a parallel cylindrical face and the inner circumference becomes a curved surface the central portion of which is depressed more than the end portion so that oil is sealed in an oil clearance portion to secure oil films to be able to endure the high pressure on the bearing surface. |
