The invention relates to an apparatus for monitoring or correcting the solids content of fluxes which are used, in particular, in automatic (automatically operating) soldering machines. The germ of the invention is the provision of a measuring chamber for the provision of a flux sample, having a defined volume, of the production flux and a dedicated test chamber for determining the solids content of the flux sample, which can be jointly swung to transfer the flux sample from the measuring chamber into the test chamber and to discharge it, and further that the test chamber has associated with it a device for photometric titration and an electric evaluation, measurement and control or display device.
