PURPOSE:To facilitate calibration by generating dummy echo signals corresponding to a state where a standard test piece is measured from a calibrating device side at optional timing according to a sent pulse signal from an ultrasonic measuring instrument side. CONSTITUTION:The title device 6 which receives sent pulses from an ultrasonic flaw detector is provided with an attenuator 8, a detecting circuit 9, a clock signal generating circuit 11, and 1st, 2nd and 3rd time counting circuits 21, 22, and 23. Further, this device is equipped with an arithmetic processing circuit 19 which sets counter target values in counters 12, 14, and 16 and a pulse generating circuit 18 which receives output signals from the circuits 21, 22, and 23 through an OR circuit 7. Then an input device 20 sets time corresponding to the counter target values and the circuit 18 generates pulse signal for calibration as echo signals in order by receiving the outputs of the counters 12, 14, and 16 after generating the sent pulse signal, thereby calibrating the measurement screen of the device 3. |
