In the motor vehicle wheel of the invention, the cast tyre consists of the cylindrical outer cover and two conical side walls which surround the planar or conical side faces of the rim produced from elastic material, preferably thermoplastic. The cone angle and thickness of the tyre side walls are dimensioned such that in the wheel contact zone the cone angle of the side walls of the tyre component is increased and as a result essentially compressive forces are transmitted to the rim side faces. Wheel and tyre are thus very light and the side rigidity is increased. <IMAGE>
