The insertion device has a rotationally movable coin lock (2) in the form of a cylinder, through which a coin slot (3) passes diagonally and which is mounted in the housing (1) of the machine. The drive takes place by means of a motor via a lever mechanism. In one of two end positions, the coin lock (2) is opened only outwards towards the insertion slot (4), and in the other end position it is opened only inwards towards the coin channel (5) leading further. <IMAGE>
