PLASMA-POLYMERIZED FINE POLYMER PARTICLE CONTAINING INORGANIC OR ORGANIC FINE PARTICLE

PURPOSE:The titled fine polymer particles having pinhole-free surfaces and excellent adhesion to polymer and mechanical strength, prepared by coating inorganic or organic fine particles with a plasma-polymerized polymer and further having a specified particle diameter. CONSTITUTION:Plasma-polymerized fine polymer particles prepared by coating inorganic and/or organic fine particles with a plasma-polymerized polymer and further having an average particle diameter >900Angstrom . The above coated fine particles must have an average particle diameter >900Angstrom . Particles of an average particle diameter <900Angstrom can not be produced in high efficiency, while particles of a greater average particle diameter have limited use because of their low surface area per unit volume. A preferable average particle diameter of the coated fine particles is 1,000Angstrom -80mum. The materials of the inorganic or organic fine particles contained in the coated fine particles can be any of solid substances that have a gas evolution rate of below 0.1 Pa.m<3>/sec/m in the reaction system for forming the plasma-polymerized polymer.
