<p>PURPOSE: To protect the surface of a floor from being stained by bringing it into contact with contaminated liq. or another source for generating stain or contamination by providing a structure wherein wear face of the surface layer consisting of a durable nonwoven fabric, a non-slip bottom layer and a liq. impermeable layer as its intermediate layer are included. CONSTITUTION: A mat 11 has a top layer 13 consisting of a polyester nonwoven fabric absorptive layer. This layer is pref. laminated on a polyurethane film 15 with a thickness of 2 mil. A bottom layer 17 is a non-slip backing material consisting of polyetherpolyurethane or polyesterpolyurethane. The surface of the top is constituted of a durable polyester nonwoven fabric made by dry paper manufacturing process contg. 25-40wt.% polyvinyl chloride binder. The purpose of this layer is to remove stain and dust and to hold them. As the second layer, a paper layer is inserted in the intermediate between the wear face of the surface layer and a liq. impermeable layer. As the result, a floor mat obtd. not only absorbs well both water and oily liq. but also holds such substances and even when the wear face of the surface layer is brought into further contact with a new source of contamination, the held substance is not scattered again.</p> |
