The invention refers to intercom equipment with card access which is mounted in residential buildings and is designed to prevent the access of unknown persons. Only people who have the access card, or whose access was permitted from inside the building as a result of permission granted from the inside, are able to enter the building, after establishing an audio connection between the exterior panel and one of the secondary terminals inside. According to the invention, the equipment contains a card access intercom panel (A) that is made up of an electronic control circuit (10), which is connected to a call keypad (2), with an electronic unit (6) for reading the optical access card (7), an audio amplifier (11) and an electromagnetic lock (D). The access panel (A) further controls, by means of call distributors (B), some secondary terminals (C) and, in order to enable the inhabitants' access in the building, an optical access card (7) is used, which is introduced in the vertical slot (5) that activates the control circuit (10) which, in turn, commands the opening of the electromagnetic lock (D).
