A rotationally symmetrical tool for machining foam, in particular rigid foam, provided with a multiplicity of teeth (2) provided on its circumference is to be designed in such a way that on the one hand reusable chips can be obtained and on the other hand a good workpiece surface is achieved. For this purpose, the tool is equipped on its circumference with a plurality of spirally running rows (3) of teeth (2), the teeth (2) being designed as milling teeth with a rectangular end face.
