摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device with a high numerical aperture. SOLUTION: This device is constituted so that a display electrode in a unit pixel is constituted of a first transparent electrode 13P and a second transparent electrode 18. The first transparent electrode 13P consists of the same ITO film as source/drain electrodes 13S, 13D and a drain line 13L of a TFT(thin film transistor), and the second transparent 18 consists of the ITO formed on an uppermost layer in addition to this. The second transparent electrode 18 is prolonged until on the drain line 13L and a gate line 16L holding the protective insulation film 17 of the TFT therebetween. An effective display area is expanded to the gate line 16L edge, and the area of the drain line 13L is added to the display area also, and the high numerical aperture is realized.</p>
