A folding bed for motor homes, caravans or the like comprises a support (26) for a mattress which is fastened along one of its narrow sides in a hinge-like manner to a wall (12) of the motor home. The support can be swung out of a position in which it lies perpendicularly against the wall into a horizontal position and to obtain the length required for a bed can moreover be pulled out telescopically.
