There is a model aircraft in which major aircraft components such as the wing 10, fin and rudder assembly 8, tailplane 9, nose tip 7 and undercarriage 11, 12 are provided on a fuselage 1. In this case, it is desired to be possible to produce the model aircraft more realistically, using simple means, such that defects can be corrected at a reduced cost. This is achieved by the fuselage 1 forming a fuselage upper part 2 and a fuselage lower part 4 by being split 13 horizontally, if the fuselage upper part 2, the fuselage lower part 4 and at least one of the major aircraft components are connected to one another by plugging together, gripping, latching or snapping in and/or screwing, and if the fuselage upper part 2, the fuselage lower part 4 and the major aircraft component consist of plastics of different colours. If a defect on a part is found during final inspection, then only the defective part need be replaced. <IMAGE>
