PURPOSE:To improve resistance to generation of stain on an unexposed ground of an electrophotograph by forming a binder resin a polymer synthesized from a vinyl monomer, and specifying the molecular weight distribution of the polymer to be determined by gel permeation chromatography. CONSTITUTION:The title compsn. consists of a binder and a dye, wherein said binder is a polymer synthesized from a vinyl monomer. Moreover, in the molecular weight distribution of the polymer determined by the gel permeation chromatography, the mol.wt. Mp corresponding to the max. mol.wt., and relations between a weight fraction (S1) for molecules having 0-3,000mol.wt. weight fraction (S2) for molecules having 3,000-13,000mol.wt., weight fraction (S3) for molecules having 13,000-50,000mol.wt., and that (S4) for molecules having >=50,000mol.wt. are defined by the formula described hereunder: 10<3=Mp<=2X10<4>; S1:S2:S3:S4=(0.3-0.8):1:(0.5-1):(0.7-1.2). By this constitution, a toner having low fixing temp. and high offset resistance and high resistance to generation of stain on an unexposed ground is obtd. |
