In the case of a method for mounting and adjusting a transformer, two core parts and one coil former are joined together in such a manner that a predetermined inductance is produced. An adhesive is then injection moulded into the gap between the core parts. In order on the one hand to avoid subsequent changes in the inductance setting as a result of the injection moulding of the adhesive, and on the other hand to avoid supplying too much adhesive, in the case of the method according to the invention, adhesive is applied before the core parts (3, 12) approach the separating surface (for example 1) of at least one core part (for example 3). Different components (2, 14) of a two-component adhesive are preferably applied onto the two core parts (3, 12). The method is particularly suitable for producing inductor coils. <IMAGE>
