PURPOSE:To obtain a simplified malfunction detector by connecting voltage detection capacitors via diodes between both terminals of a DC motor and a main switching element. CONSTITUTION:A voltage detection capacitor 12 is connected between terminals of a DC motor 1 via a diode 11 in a chopper controlled DC motor device 10. Another voltage detection capacitor 22 is connected between terminals of a main switching element 3 via diode 21. Photocouplers 14 and 24 as a signal conversion unit are connected between both the LED side terminals of the voltage detection capacitors 12, 22. A decision circuit 20 detects the malfunctions of the main switching element 2 and the DC motor 1 and judges the kinds of detected malfunctions, on the basis of the output signals from the photocouplers 14 and 24. |
