PURPOSE:To improve the quality of images formed on an image carrier by making to adhere toner to the side of an image carrier or isolating the toner in condition where a superconductor or a magnetic member is disposed on the toner side and the remaining one is disposed on the image carrier or the process member side. CONSTITUTION:The superconductor 100 or the magnetic member 200 is disposed on the toner side 300, and the remaining one is disposed on the image carrier 1 or the side of the process member 400. In that state the toner 300 is made to adhere to the side of the image carrier 1, or is isolated. By taking advantage of Meissner effects generated by the superconductor 100 and the magnetic member 200, attraction and separating force for the toner 300 are imparted. Thus the quality of formed images is improved. |
