PURPOSE:To save the energy of an equipment by providing the winding machine of a cast strip and arranging a heat reserving tunnel on the coil transfer device to the rear part equipment. CONSTITUTION:A winding machine 15 is provided in succession to a rolling mill 12 and cutting machine 13 on the strip cast by a continuous casting machine 11. The coil transfer device of a coil car 17, etc., is provided on the rail 16 connecting a continuous casting line 2 and hot rolling line 1 and a heat reserving tunnel 18 is arranged on the rail 16. The cast strip is wound by the winding machine and set to the winding machine 15 via the heat reserving tunnel 18 by being mounted on the coil car 17 as a coil. In this case, the reduction of the coil temp. is prevented by the tunnel 18 while under coil transfer. Due to the need for coil heating for rolling by a finish rolling mill 5 being eliminated the equipment conserves energy.
