PURPOSE:To produce a dense superconductor of improved superconductive properties, by impregnating a sintered ceramic of an oxide superconductor with a specific solution and calcining it. CONSTITUTION:A sintered ceramic of an oxide superconductor such as LA- M-Cu-O (M is Ba, Sr) or Y-Ba-Cu-O system is impregnated with a slurry in which raw materials of the superconductor ceramics or its calcine powder is dispersed in a solvent by coating or dipping the oxide superconductor. The coated material is dried, then calcined at 900-1,000 deg.C in air, and annealed. The combined operation of impregnation and calcination is repeated at least once. |
