PURPOSE:To confirm a special mode during execution of the special mode by providing a control means which executes the special mode designated by a decoding means and outputting a special code latched in a latch means in response to a detection signal. CONSTITUTION:A special mode circuit 14 gives a check signal CE and a switching signal CO to an input/output buffer 7 and a switching circuit 11 respectively in response to a confirmation signal CS given to one of control signal input terminals CS. The switching circuit 11 connects a latch circuit 12 and the input/output buffer 7 in response to the switching signal CO. The input/ output buffer 7 receives a special mode code MC latched in the latch circuit 12 through the switching circuit 11 in response to the check signal CE and outputs it from an input/output terminal DT. The special mode code MC is detected on the outside to confirm the class of the special mode executed at present.
