PURPOSE:To prolong the charge-discharge cycle life, increase the discharge capacity, and reduce the self-discharge in a nonaqueous solvent battery by drying its positive electrode at a specified temperature in case of manufacturing said battery. CONSTITUTION:In case of manufacturing a nonaqueous solvent battery, its positive electrode is dried at temperature range of 80-200 deg.C. The following types of material are used for the positive electrode: molding type, sheet type, film type or other types of material made from, for instance, amorphous vanadium pentoxide powder as main positive electrode active material, conductive material and binder. Furthermore, the drying of the positive electrode may be done in the air, but it is better to do in dried inert gas flow or under vacuum suction from a viewpoint of enhancing drying effect. |
