<p>PURPOSE: To provide an electrical resistor which has a low electrical resistance even when no external pressure is applied to the resistor and the electrical resistance of which changes in accordance with the external pressure by passing a tool composed of an aggregate of ferromagnetic metallic particles through the surface of a workpiece and uniformly distributing the then produced magnetized ferromagnetic metallic particles in a matrix. CONSTITUTION: A matrix in which metallic particles are uniformly distributed is formed by passing a liquid material which has flexibility and electrical insulating property when solidifies and a tool composed of an aggregate of polishing particles through the surface of a workpiece and solidifying the liquid material while a pressure which is high enough to maintain a contact between particles 2 which are obtained from a mechanically working chip when the tool is passed through the workpiece is applied to the liquid material. The particles 2 have major-axis magnetic fields and form a chain structure during the manufacturing process. Since the triaxially precompressed state of the matrix material increases the contact pressure between the surfaces of the particles 2, the number of contact points of the particles 3 becomes extremely large and, even when no external pressure is applied to a resistor, the electrical resistance value of the resistor becomes sufficiently low. When a pressure is applied, the resistance value gradually decreases.</p> |
