摘要 PURPOSE:To realize a compact structure of an inkjet recording head having highly-dense nozzles, by arranging one surface of an electromechanical transducer opposed to a flow passage of a recording liquid, and at the same time supported in a cantilever structure. CONSTITUTION:An electromechanical transducer 2 is comprised of an electric distortion vibrator 2a and an elastic plate 2b coupled to each other. The element 2 is so arranged that the side of the elastic plate 2b is opposed to a flow passage 4 of a recording liquid communicating with a nozzle 3. One end of the elastic plate 2b is fixedly supported in a cantilever structure at a fixing part 7 of the element at the opposite side to the nozzle 3. When the fixing part 7 at the opposite side of the nozzle 3 is displaced at right angles to the flow passage 4, the element 2 is displaced in a manner that the recording liquid 5 is pressed out towards the nozzle 3. Therefore, it is more effective to project liquid drops from the nozzle 3. Moreover, since the element 2 is supported in a cantilever structure, an end position of the element can be greatly displaced, whereby a large change in volume can be obtained.
