PURPOSE:To make a 2-channel video signal into a narrow-band to transmit by successively time-division-sending an adding signal, a delaying signal, and a compressing signal, which are obtained from a 2-channel television signal, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The 2-channel television signal to be transmitted is made into first and second channel signals B1 and B2, a first (second) difference signal DELTABA1 (DELTABC2) is formed with a third (fourth) signal A1 (C1) before (after) this first channel signal B1 for a prescribed horizontal scanning period and the first channel signal B1, a third (fourth) difference signal DELTABA3 (DELTABC4) is formed with a fifth (sixth) signal A2 (C2) before (after) this second channel signal B2 for the prescribed horizontal scanning period and the second channel signal B2, and further, two compressing signals SPBC1 and SPBC2 are formed by compressing the horizontal scanning periods of the first and second (third and fourth) difference signals to 1/4. Moreover, the adding signal is formed by adding the third and fourth signals, the delaying signal is formed, which is formed be adding the fifth and sixth signals and delaying the added signal for the prescribed horizontal scanning period, and the adding signal, the delaying signal, and the four compressing signals are successively time-division-sent respectively. Thus, the television signal for two channels can be transmitted in a narrow-band. |
