<p>PURPOSE:To completely avoid an influence of the penetration effect by connecting each picture element electrode to at least two switch elements controlled by different scanning lines and forming an auxiliary capacity between a scanning line other than said scanning lines and the picture element electrode. CONSTITUTION:A picture element Pnm is so constituted that it is driven by two switch elements TnmA and TnmB controlled by adjacent scanning lines Xn-1 and Xn, and an auxiliart capacity CnmS is formed between the picture element and a scanning line Xn-2 of the preceding stage. A select pulse is successively applied to scanning lines X1, X2,...XN in order at a certain timing. Since scanning lines Xn and Xn-1 which control switch elements TnmA and TnmB connected to the picture element Pnm are different from the scanning line Xn-2 which forms the auxiliary capacity CnmS, the auxiliary capacity where the penetration effect does not occur is introduced, and an active matrix array which has a high yield, a display quality, and an easy production process is obtained.</p> |
