<p>PURPOSE:To change both number of lines and directions of articles by moving the installing bodies of article holding grippers along a moving cam to branch them in a plurality of lines, and operating a rack-and-pinion mechanism being interlocked with the movement of the gripper installing bodies to rotate the grippers. CONSTITUTION:Each gripper installing body 24 which is supported by two guide bars 16 is normally energized together with a roller 36 toward a slide block 23 side by the energization of a spring 30, and the roller 34 of the gripper installing body 24 is guided by a branching cam 42. In a branching portion 42b, the rollers 36 of the slide blocks 23 are alternately separated by means of the branching cam 42, and the gripper installing bodies are arranged in a plurality of lines in accordance therewith. At the same time, each installing body 24 is separated from each slide block 23 by means of a rotary cam 44. An unshown rack-and-pinion mechanism is thereby operated to rotate grippers. By this structure, both number of lines and directions can be changed.</p> |
