The parking areas 1 of an airport each have casings buried in the ground and constitute hydrants (mouths) 3 for supplying fuel, water, air and electric current and for removing liquid waste from the aeroplane 2 which is immobilised thereon. The hydrants (mouths) 3 are connected via underground conduits 4, 6 to a control centre 7 which is itself connected via an underground pipe 8 to a depot 9, as far as fuel, for example, is concerned. It thus becomes possible to remove all the service vehicles from the traffic area and to reduce stopover time considerably. <IMAGE>
