PURPOSE:To realize stable flotation which is impervious to be controlled by the relative speed of a head and a magnetic disk and the surface form of the head by forming a floating body or a part of it for floating and supporting the magnetic head by means of superconductive materials. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head mainbody 1 and the superconductive materials 2 are in a sandwich structure and floating force is obtained by repulsion which occurs between the superconductive materials on both sides and a magnetic field generated from the magnetic body on the surface of the magnetic disk. Since the floating body or a part of it for floating and supporting the magnetic head with respect to the magnetic disk is formed by the superconductive materials in the floating type magnetic head, stable flotation which is impervious to be controlled by the relative velocity of the head and the magnetic disk and the surface form of the head can be realized, and the reliability of the magnetic disk device can be improved. |
