PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain synchronization accuracy by matching a multiplexer with an existing installation in the case of introducing the multiplexer to a paging system. SOLUTION: A multiplexer MUX 40 and a demultiplexer MUX 42 are provided between a central control station 10a and a monitor controller slave set 18a and signals resulting from multiplexing plural paging signals are sent through a transmission line consisting of exclusive lines. On the other hand, no multiplexer 40 or the like is provided between a central control station 10b and a monitor controller slave set 18b. Instead, a paging system delay device DLY 44 is provided to provide a time delay equivalent to that by multiplexing/demultiplexing processing to the paging signal to provide a time delay similar to a time delay resulting from the multiplexer 40 and the demultiplexer 42. Thus, the time delay at the side introducing the multiplexer and that at the side without introducing the multiplexer are set equally to smooth the operation of the paging system.
